How to play Maze Adventure

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Maze Adventure. Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Look at what changes after your first action.

Build a steady rhythm

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Keep the objective visible.

Your goal

Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Take a moment to understand the current position.

Step by step

  1. Start from the upper-left cell.
  2. Move through openings using arrow keys or direction buttons.
  3. You may also tap a neighbouring cell connected by an open passage.
  4. Reach the gold exit or generate a new maze.

Controls

Arrow keys, on-screen direction buttons, or a click/tap on an adjacent reachable cell. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Read the example below alongside these instructions.

A useful example

If a wall blocks the cell to your right, try another opening; the token cannot move through walls. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Take a moment to compare.

Watch out for this

Only immediately adjacent cells can be reached in one move. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
