How to play Basketball Shooting

Try Basketball Shooting at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Score as many baskets as possible from ten shots. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Read the objective before making your first input. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

One hoop, ten shots, gravity and rim/backboard collisions.

Read before acting

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Score as many baskets as possible from ten shots. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Step by step

  1. Set angle and power.
  2. Shoot.
  3. A downward crossing inside the rim scores.
  4. Adjust for another shot.

Controls

Touch aim, sliders and Shoot; Space fires. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

A useful example

A rising crossing does not score until a downward entry occurs. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

Backboard contact alone is not a basket. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
