How to play Russian Solitaire
Open Russian Solitaire, check the instructions and begin a round. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.
Keep the aim in sight
Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Make the next step deliberately.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Notice how the game responds to your input.
Step by step
- Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
A useful example
A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Consider the next action carefully.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
